In the CNN article, I liked that I saw they extended the Bush-era tax cuts. What I didn't like was the they also extended un-employment by 13 months. While helping people out by not taxing them is good, giving lazy people free rides from the government in the name of "un-enployment" is not right at all.
The article about congress thinking about shutting down makes me laugh. I say this because, I feel it is very sad that they come up with these ultra elaborate bills, which make them cringe and fight, and once they realize what is actually in them, they aren't happy. If congress would just make bills and laws to help people and not try to tax them to no end, it would save all this hassle and they wouldn't have to think about shutting down over and over.
MSNBC's article also makes me laugh over the stupidity of the senators and represenatives. All they were doing was fighting back and forth and playing the blame game. If they would actually listen to the American people, hear what they want, and not try to push their personal or party agendas, they wouldn't have this problem because most citizens make it pretty clear on what they want from the government and from this country.
In the last article, it talks about how the GOP was fighting itself over the tax cuts. I think the GOP was very stupid to be arguing. This is just letting the liberals win. Tax cuts are a good thing, and they should know that..
